About the job
As a Medical Doctor you are part of a (muti-disciplinary) team with other international as well as local colleagues. This can be in the context of an international or a local NGO. Your primary focus is to promote public health. You educate locals on prevention related health topics and treat non-complex medical needs. You also provide in training of colleague professionals to strengthen their professional skills. Besides your job as a Medical Doctor you will also be part of one of our mission teams. Each team member in this team is involved in mission related activities. This vacancy provides you with an unique opportunity to make an impact on public health in a society that desperately needs this.

Profile

• You have a personal relationship with God, you practice your faith and are committed to prayer.
• You are a team player, also well able to work independently.
• You are cultural sensitive and always willing to learn.
• You have proven qualification and experience to work as a Medical Doctor.
• If needed, you are willing to raise your own (additional) funds.
• You are able to communicate well in English, both in spoken and written language. You are willing to learn the main local language.
• You agree with People International’s objectives and are willing to participate in our efforts to pursue these.
